I am thrilled to announce that my series “Syncope” won the Audience Award of this year’s Wiesbaden Photo Days! During the last fourteen days, visiting guests of the Photo Days had the chance to vote for their favourite photo series among all 37 national and international artists and their amazing works.

It is a very special honour to have received the majority of votes – thank you so much to everyone who made this possible, and again a big THANK YOU to the whole team of the Wiesbaden Photo Days as well as the wonderful team of the frauen museum wiesbaden!

After a great opening on 13 August, the Wiesbaden Photo Days started with a Walk’n’Talk tour the next day. Thanks a lot to everyone who joined us on this lovely six-hours-tour through six different houses (frauen museum wiesbaden, Kunsthaus Wiesbaden, Rubrecht Contemporary, Aktives Museum Spiegelgasse, sam – Stadtmuseum am Markt, Kunstverein Bellevue-Saal).

Selected works from this year’s Wiesbaden Photo Days can be seen in front of the astonishing Baroque “Biebrich Palace”, next to the Rhine in Wiesbaden, Germany. I’m more than happy that my image “Noodles” is one of these extra-large exhibits!

I am very honoured to announce that I have been shortlisted by the Wiesbaden Photo Days and therefore will be part of the upcoming photo festival in Wiesbaden, Germany. From 13 to 28 August, my series “Syncope” will be on view, together with many more amazing images from this year’s selected photo artists and documentary photographers. As one of this year’s shortlisted artists of the Aesthetica Art Prize, I am thrilled to be part of the current group exhibition at York Art Gallery. Artworks from all selected artists are still on display until 5 September 2021. For more information, please visit www.yorkartgallery.org.uk.

As a shortlisted artist of this year’s Aesthetica Art Prize, I am more than thrilled to get the chance of speaking at the “Future Now Symposium” on 30 April, 15:30 (GMT). Here, I will talk about the concept and making of my two series “Syncope” and “Cubes”.

This 60-minute-session will also introduce the shortlisted artists Carlos David, Kitoko Diva, Christiane Zschommler, Henny Burnett Niels and Lyhne Løkkegaard who will talk about their own artistic practice and concepts.
