What an extraordinary evening! A big THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for “Traumfänger” (engl.: Dreamcatcher) at Eiskeller in Hamburg Altona as part of Oliver Sauer’s “der salon”.

It was an evening I will certainly not forget: A beautiful location, wonderful conversations, a lovely reading by Oliver and great music by my friend Knut as well as Brosie.

I am very excited to be exhibiting a wide selection of my works at “der salon” in Hamburg, Germany, on 21 September 2023.

“der salon”, organized by German actor Oliver Sauer, is a recurring event that aims to bring together painting/photography, music and literature. It is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to exchange ideas about art, culture and philosophy.

This time “der salon” is entitled “Traumfänger” (engl.: Dreamcatcher) and will take place in the wonderful Eiskeller in Hamburg Altona – an extraordinary location that will surely inspire you to dream …

I had a truly wonderful time with you and enjoyed all the amazing feedback and interesting conversations. I’m also very grateful for all new collectors of limited edition prints and everyone who supported my work by purchasing the exhibition catalogue. Climate, epidemics, war and catastrophes: The mood of the end times is rampant. Fear is the sometimes subliminal, sometimes dominant feeling of the present. Fear of the future, fear of losing control, fear of the disintegration of our society. Fear of dictators and dictatorship. Fear of populists and hatred. Fear of war and violence, fear of climate change and the loss of our habitats. Fear is the subject of psychological research and part of all religious revelations.
Fear is a complex phenomenon. It is an emotion and a basic human instinct. But how do we ourselves and our society deal with the phenomenon of fear? Are fears currently on the increase? Do they drive us to act or do they paralyse us?

In its new group exhibition, the artists’ association Walkmühle and its curator duo Christiane Erdmann and Stefanie Blumenbecker explore this socially highly topical and explosive issue from the broader perspective of art.

I am incredibly happy to announce my upcoming solo show Dämmerschlaf (engl.: Twilight Sleep) which will take place from 17 March until 9 April 2023 at Fabrik der Künste in Hamburg, Germany.

Here, I will present more than 50 (mostly large-format) images from my series Grown, Syncope, Epiphany and Cubes – including selected dioramas. The exhibition will be accompanied by guided tours and more events in order to offer insights into my creative process.

From 1 to 30 November 2022, my works “Sticky Notes”, “Noodles” and “Yellow Cube” are on display in York, UK. The group show “Unite. Create. Transform.” is part of this year’s Aesthetica Short Film Festival and brings together award-winning artists who invite you to explore, discover and engage with themes from our rapidly changing world – wide-ranging topics that include the ethics of representation, mass digitalisation, globalisation, diasporic identities and the climate crisis.

During the last fourteen days, visiting guests of the Photo Days had the chance to vote for their favourite photo series among all 37 national and international artists and their amazing works.
